So you know Missed Connections on Craigslist? Yeah.
I posted something two weekends ago. OH yeah?
And it worked. WHAT?!
I have had countless conversations that have started this way in the past couple of weeks. Let me first say, I think that the success rate of missed connections is, like, .0000004%. I ended up being that .000004% two weekends ago.
Two weekends ago I was with my friend Tera, going for a walk through Brooklyn. We ended up next to Brooklyn Heights, and walking under the BQE I spotted a nice looking boy in a classic car. We looked at each other, I said ‘hi’, he said ‘hi’ and that was it. But as I looked back at his car him, I noticed that his license plate said 5talkers and of course burned an image in my mind. (I was only slightly creeped out…)
So I get home and decided to have some fun by posting a MC (note: this is the 3rd time I have posted a MC) Well, it just so happened 3rd time is a charm. A few days later I got a note from the 5talker with a picture of him and his car, which was a Dodge Dart.
After 2 hours of serious stalking, I realized he was legit.
We met after work at ReBar next to my work in DUMBO. Had a couple drinks, then went for a cruise around Red Hook. I was only slightly scared when he asked if I wanted to walk out on a foggy dark pier…for real. I politely said what the fuck, seriously? i met you online and now you want to walk through the dark onto that? hell no. We then continued on to play darts for about 2 hours, then he dropped me off at my apartment.
Overall the date was good…not dreamy, but fun. Might be a #2, maybe not - but I think that the story itself will live on forever in SG history.

I ate it. It was glorious. I had not a single complaint. I want more. I need more! And rumor has it that they are coming out with a ranch shell.
